Yoga is an excellent activity for children to participate in, both for its benefits to physical health as well as mental health and well-being. It can build strength and flexibility, improve self-esteem and help to regulate emotions such as anxiety.
Yoga for children offers an alternative to other forms of exercise as it is non-competitive, inclusive and promotes individuality. Plus, children love it!
As a former deputy head teacher and special educational needs coordinator, I am experienced in working with children and recognise the value that providing yoga sessions can make.
My classes are designed to be fun, inclusive and engaging. Offering children the opportunity to develop their creativity and imagination.
Sessions can be tailored to focus on specific requirements such as behavioural difficulties, low self-esteem, anxiety, autism and ADHD.
I can design classes suitable for a wide age range - from primary to secondary school children. If you would like me to teach yoga at your school or childcare setting, or for more information please get in touch.
